I am unsure of how to create functional tax zones using the Microsoft Dynamics Business Central API. I can create tax areas and associate them with customers, but they have no effect on the line items of sales orders. Despite the fact that they will appear alongside the actual order line item. I believe this is because they have no associated tax jurisdiction entities. Because when creating a tax area in the Business Central graphical user interface, the tool requires the addition of at least one tax jurisdiction for the tax area to function. However, I cannot (or do not understand how to) associate a tax jurisdiction with a tax area using the API. But prior to discussing the association of a tax jurisdiction, I must determine how to create a tax jurisdiction. Does anyone know how to integrate taxes with the Business Central API? Any suggestions? Because there is no way to directly enter tax amounts/percentages using the API and tax amounts are read-only, I believe I am required to enter specific tax categories. If I could find a lot of information on this topic, I wouldn't be asking.
